Biography: Marion Woodrow Kruse, Jr., born in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, on February 5, 1948, was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1978. Mr. Kruse is also admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth and Eleventh Circuits, the United States District Courts for the Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western Districts of Texas and the Eastern District of Oklahoma.

Mr. Kruse received his undergraduate degree from the University of Houston. Following undergraduate school, he graduated from Hermann Hospital School of Medical Technology and was certified by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists as a medical technologist. He studied law at Baylor University and was a member of Phi Delta Phi; Baylor Order of Barristers and Counselors of Baylor School of Law. He was a finalist in the Leighton B. Dawson Moot Court Competition and won the Leighton B. Dawson Moot Court Award.

After law school, Mr. Kruse began practicing law with the firm of Fulbright & Jaworski, L.L.P. in Houston. While at that firm, he primarily handled professional liability cases, concentrating on the representation of physicians, hospitals, and nurses and business litigation. Prior to joining Henke, Williams & Boll, LLP, Mr. Kruse was the principal of the Kruse Law Firm. Mr. Kruse continued to represent hospitals, physicians, nurses, and nursing homes in professional liability litigation, hospital credentialing of physicians, representation of professionals before state licensing boards, and defending other professionals, such as attorneys. Mr. Kruse's practice also includes general litigation and Family Law.

Mr. Kruse is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Federal and Houston Bar Associations, JCBA, the Defense Research Institute, Inc., Family Law Section of the State Bar and life member of the Texas Bar Foundation. Mr. Kruse was chosen as Special Prosecutor for the State Bar of Texas in the Houston area. Outside the practice of law, Mr. Kruse is active in various civic activities.

Mr. Kruse is certified in Basic and Advanced Mediation. Mr. Kruse has received the highest rating by Martindale Hubbell for over 20 consecutive years and has been awarded the rating of AV Preeminent since 2010. Mr. Kruse also was included in the edition of The Best Lawyers in America in the practice area of Medical Malpractice Law - Defendants since 2010 and his practice received First Tier Rankings in Medical Malpractice Law - Defendants by U.S. News - Best Lawyers "Best Law Firm" 2011-2012.
